Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cody's Box, a digital game and web application operated by Mother AI, LLC ("Mother AI," "we," "our," or "us"). Cody's Box, including the marketing website at codysbox.com and the game at app.codysbox.com (collectively, the "Service"), is a product of Mother AI, LLC, a Montana limited liability company.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and agreed to them on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; see our Privacy Policy for details.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it when it changes. Choose a username that is not offensive, impersonating, or infringing on any trademark. We may reclaim usernames or remove content that violates these Terms.

3. Purchases and Digital Products

Cody's Box offers digital in-game items for purchase, including but not limited to:

• Lucky Roll tokens — a single-use item that guarantees a "shut the box" outcome in one game session. Limited to one purchase per 60-minute period per account.
• Custom Pack — a one-time purchase that unlocks all tile skins and dice skins.

All purchases are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, Inc. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms. Prices are shown in U.S. Dollars and may change without notice. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

Digital items are delivered to your account immediately upon successful payment. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. License to Use the Service

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Mother AI grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Service or to submit scores.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features or leaderboard mechanics.
• Access the Service by any means other than the interface we provide.
• Copy, resell, sublicense, or redistribute any part of the Service.

5. Fair Play and Community Standards

You agree not to cheat, exploit bugs, manipulate timestamps, use multiple accounts to inflate scores, or otherwise gain an unfair competitive advantage. Violations may result in removal of scores from leaderboards, suspension of your account, forfeiture of purchased items without refund, or permanent ban.

Usernames, clan names, and any user-generated text are subject to moderation. We reserve the right to remove content or terminate accounts that violate community standards, including content that is harassing, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all game mechanics, art, code, brand assets, and content produced by Mother AI, is owned by Mother AI, LLC and protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. "Cody's Box," the Cody's Box logo, and related marks are trademarks of Mother AI, LLC.

7. User Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant Mother AI a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them for any purpose without obligation to you.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@codysbox.com. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends, and any unused digital items are forfeited without refund.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOTHER AI, LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50 USD.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mother AI, LLC and its officers, members, and affiliates from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cascade County, Montana, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.

To the extent permitted by law, you and Mother AI, LLC waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action against the other.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mother AI, LLC regarding the Service.
